OSYRIS Y 3000 protects parts by coating them with a durable, oily, non-drying film. - Good spreading ability, - Minimal water retention, - High resistance to moisture and acid vapours, - Corrosion protection even in cases of direct contact, - The recommended protection period for OSYRIS Y 3000 is 6 months. This period is directly related to the environmental conditions to which the coated metal is exposed. Before final technical approval, we recommend testing the product on a few parts. OSYRIS Y 3000 can be applied by spray, immersion or brush. The immersion method can also be used while the parts to be protected are still hot. Removing the protective films: - with solvent (white spirit, petrol, etc.) . by wiping with a solvent-soaked cloth . by using solvent baths of 5 to 30 minutes - using a 1% petrol mixture or an emulsifier: . soak for 10 to 30 minutes, drain, then wash with hot water and dry - with an alkaline solution at 85/95°C: . immerse in the liquid for 5 to 30 minutes, then wash with hot water and dry . the following solution may be used: 0.5% sodium silicate + 1% trisodium phosphate + 1 to 2% sodium carbonate
