The pumice (bims) block is a lightweight concrete building block made with pumice aggregate. Pumice is a porous volcanic rock formed by volcanic eruptions; this porous structure gives the block both light weight and heat/sound insulation properties.
Used for wall construction, the pumice block is easy to cut and shape and resists chemical exposure, so it suits a range of building applications; its light weight makes handling and installation easier.
