Ribbed (deformed) surface welded mesh — ready reinforcement with a strong bond to concrete.
Ribbed steel wire mesh is a ready reinforcement grid produced by joining ribbed (deformed) steel wires at right angles with electric resistance spot welding. Because the ribs increase the bond (anchorage) between the wire and the concrete, ribbed mesh is used as structural reinforcement in reinforced-concrete work — slabs, foundations, shear walls, ground and road concrete, and precast elements are the main applications.
The wires are drawn from SAE 1008 / 1010 grade rod; the mesh is manufactured to DIN 488, ASTM and other international standards in wire diameters of 4.00–10.00 mm, eye spacings of 50–400 mm and panel sizes up to 750 × 2500 mm. It provides a minimum tensile strength of 550 N/mm² and yield strength of 500 N/mm², with 5–8% elongation.
Depending on the mesh type, sheets are bundled in stacks of 30, 50 or 100 and tightly tied together with wire. The maximum package weight is 2000 kg. Add the product to your quote list for a wire diameter, eye spacing and size specific to your project.
