River Gravel / Crushed Stone

Rounded gravel drawn from natural stream beds, or angular crushed stone ('mıcır') from a quarry.

River gravel is an aggregate naturally rounded by water action in stream beds; crushed stone ('mıcır') is its angular counterpart, produced in the same size ranges by crushing quarry rock. Both are screened to size before delivery.

They are used as concrete aggregate, drainage backfill, sub-base for roads and yard surfaces, and in landscaping work such as path fill and drainage-channel backfill; rounded river gravel is particularly favoured in drainage lines for its free-draining properties.
