Paving Bedding Sand

A bedding sand laid beneath concrete pavers and kerbs to set and stabilise the units.

Paving bedding sand is a well-graded sand laid beneath concrete pavers, kerbs and similar surface units. Spread in a thin layer over the compacted sub-base and screeded level, it forms a flat, stable bed for the paving to sit on.

The same or a similarly graded sand is also swept into the joints after laying, locking the paving units together.
