Plaster Sand

A finely screened sand free of coarse stones and foreign matter, used for plaster and exterior render coats.

Plaster sand is a fine, uniformly graded building sand cleared of coarse particles and foreign matter. Because it is screened before delivery, it gives a smooth, even finish under the plasterer's trowel.

It is mixed with a binder (cement or lime) for interior and exterior render coats and mortar/jointing mixes, and suits both the base (rough) coat and the finishing (fine) coat of a plastering job.
