Waterstop Waterproofing Membrane Silicone

Selsil Waterstop Waterproofing Membrane is a one-component, hybrid polymer-based, low-viscosity waterproofing product. It contains no solvent, isocyanate or bitumen. On contact with air it cures to form an elastic, watertight layer. It can be applied easily to both horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Before application the necessary safety precautions must be taken and personal protective equipment used. The surface must be clean and dry or slightly damp; grease, dust, dirt and loose particles must be removed. The product can be applied to the surface with a brush, roller or airless spray. For best performance, a two-coat application is recommended; care must be taken to apply the second coat only after the first coat has completely dried. After application, the product must not be brought into contact with water for at least twenty-four hours. The tools used can be cleaned with alcohol or acetone before the product cures; once curing is complete, they can only be cleaned by scraping. The product should be kept in cool and dry conditions at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C, and under these conditions retains a shelf life of twelve months.
