Application
Surfaces to be coated must not contain defects such as pits, breaks, segregation or cracks, and must not be dusting. Such defects must be corrected before application with TERAPOL EPOXY REPAIR (epoxy-based repair mortar). Surface preparation must be carried out by shot blasting, milling, sanding or similar mechanical surface-abrasion methods, and all surfaces must be de-dusted with industrial vacuum equipment. Under all conditions, surface adhesion must be above 1.5 N/mm² and the moisture content below 4%. During application, care must be taken that the floor temperature is at least +3°C above the dew point. Preparing and applying the primer: where a primer is required, TERAPOL EPOXY PRIMER is used. The primer is applied in a single coat by roller. Consumption is approximately 0.30-0.50 kg/m². Preparing the mix: components A and B are mixed with a low-speed mixer (below 400 rpm) and a mixing paddle until a homogeneous consistency is reached. Applying EPOXY TX: the mix is spread over the surface in a homogeneous thickness with a fine-notched trowel or roller, and a crystal-patterned sponge roller is then passed over it to obtain a textured coating. Always working with the pattern roller in the same direction and in a regular manner is important for achieving a flawless result.
