Two-component, aliphatic, polyurethane-based, UV-resistant top coat
An aliphatic polyurethane resin-based, highly UV-resistant, two-component, solvent-borne, semi-gloss finishing floor paint. It is a two-component paint that is waterproof, resistant to chemicals, impact and abrasion, easy to clean, hygienic, and used indoors and outdoors.
Areas of Use
- Surfaces requiring high abrasion resistance
- Areas with heavy pedestrian traffic
- Stadiums, open-air car parks
- Indoor and outdoor applications
- Tiles such as marble and ceramic
- Natural stones
- Roofs, terraces, verandas and balconies
- Industrial floors
- As a protective top coat on polyurethane systems and polyurea waterproofing systems
- As a top coat on epoxy and polyurethane floor coatings
Advantages
- Bonds strongly and integrally to almost every type of surface.
- Highly hydrophobic.
- High resistance to natural influences.
- Retains its elasticity down to -40°C.
- Excellent heat and UV resistance; does not yellow, peel or soften up to 80°C.
- Superior resistance to chemicals and mechanical stress (high tensile and abrasion strength).

Application
PUR TOP COAT-C is packaged in two separate tin cans, for use after the appropriate surface primer has been applied. First the 'base material' is stirred on its own, then the entire hardener in the small can is poured into the base material and mixed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Mixing must be done with an electric mixer. The mixed product has a pot life of 30-45 minutes, varying with humidity and temperature. Application is by brush, roller, paint gun or airless machine. The applied surface must be protected from water for the following 18-24 hours. Between two coats, a waiting time of 18-24 hours is required. If the application is made over polyurethane-based coating materials or an epoxy coating, it must be carried out within 24 hours of the curing of the underlying material. Beyond 24 hours, the floor must be sanded or roughened by mechanical means. Application tools: roller or brush, spray.
