Application
Before application, oil, grease, paraffin residues, cement laitance, loose particles, form-release agents, cured old membranes and similar factors that would weaken adhesion must be removed from all surfaces. If possible, the surface should be cleaned by washing with high-pressure water and then dried; surface defects should be repaired with TP REPAIR-800 cement-based repair mortar. The moisture content of the concrete must be checked; the maximum moisture content is 4%. At the start, the spray application may be very soft or hard depending on the substrate temperature. The product begins to gain strength after 1-2 hours, reaches 95% of its strength values after one day, and its full values after one week. After the levelling work, EPOXY PRIMER should be used. It must be applied with spray equipment capable of operating at high pressure and temperature, in order to mix the polyamine component homogeneously with the isocyanate prepolymer and spray it. CONCRETE FLOORS: a) First, the mechanical preparations are carried out. 1- Large damaged areas are filled with concrete (on old floors) 2- Large cracks in the floor are cross-cut with a diamond saw and reinforced with steel elements at 40 cm intervals 3- The floor must be clean and free of oils. b) POLYUREA-S waterproofing is applied. Asphalt, concrete and similar materials can be applied on top of it. POLYUREA-S AS A TOP COAT: Applied on new buildings and during reconstruction — for example over old industrial floors, on roofs, walls, pools and parking areas. The final coat is slightly textured. Quartz can be broadcast over it to make it non-slip (to increase slip resistance). The desired topcoat colour can be achieved by applying aliphatic PUR TOP COAT-C. Application tools: high-pressure compressor (pneumatic/hydraulic) (min. 7 bar).
