CARTER BIO contains extreme-pressure and anti-scuffing additives that provide very good protection for gears operating under heavy loads. The synthetic base oils used provide good lubrication properties and high oxidation stability. These base oils meet the European Ecolabel criteria for Biodegradability, Renewable carbon content and Ecotoxicity. The biodegradability of CARTER BIO is over 60% after 28 days (OECD 301B test procedure). Compared with mineral oils, CARTER BIO offers very good lubrication advantages at both high and low temperatures. - The high viscosity index and shear stability of CARTER BIO ensure a high lubricating film thickness even at high temperatures. - Its low pour point and low-temperature viscosity ensure easy start-up in cold operating environments. CARTER BIO provides high corrosion protection in systems operating in sea water.
